- A head and chest study of a dog, or cat.
- One, or two, small exotics.

12" x 16"
- One small dog, or cat, if you desire the animal's entire body included in the portrait.
- A head and chest study of a dog, cat, or horse.
- One, or multiple, small exotics.

16" x 20"
- Multiple dogs, cats, or exotics.
- Up to two horses, full body.

18" x 24" on up
- Most anything!

As a general rule, the larger you want your animal to appear and the more background you desire, the larger the canvas size is recommended to achieve optimal detail.
